Rent increase query Posted on: Wed, 7 May 2008 22:09:59 +1000

Hi,

I was looking here...

http://www.tenantsact.org.au/Advice/rent2.html

...and trying to work out if a rent increase is considered excessive or not.

The lease started at $275/w in May 2004, and is now $300/w as of yesterday.

I can't figure out the maths from that URL properly (yeah, go on, laugh!).

The reason I'm asking is because I was told >$10/w is considered excessive,
but is it? Can someone take a look at the maths there and show me if it is?

Thanks! :)
