You obviously don't get out much, the bicycle lane is my town, ranges from 2
meters to 5 metres wide
Typically a 4 lane road with parking space alongside, has been transformed
to a 2 lane road with a parking lane and a bloody great huge bicycle lane.

Even then, the cyclists, from a club, ride three for and five abreast,
riding in the cycle lane and also the parking lane and half way into the car
lane, which has already been narrowed from 2 to 1 lane.
