You don't consider scrapping WorkChoices and putting a date on withdrawing
combat troops from Iraq positive? I'd have voted Labor just to achieve
those two outcomes.
What about ratifying the Kyoto Protocol? That was pretty positive.
Telling the Chinese leadership to their faces, in their own language, what
most Australians think about their human rights record? That was pretty
cool. No way would Howard and Downer have had the guts to do that.
The social security debit card is pretty positive too, especially since I
raised the idea here in aus.politics some time back.
