Subject: Speed Scammera fine, elect for prosecution or let due date expire?

What are the differences between filling out the Election for
Prosecution form on a Scammera fine as opposed to just ignoring the
due dates and waiting for the Summons? Obviously I'm innocent (aren't
we all) but if on the offchance I'm found to be found guilty, is it
worse/expensive ignoring it as opposed to proactively asking for a
Court hearing?
