We are at cross purposes. I take the view that buying shares in the usual
way at any time is a gamble. As recent events have demonstrated. It does
not have to be something as esoteric as playing in a futures market. The
latter is just a somewhat bigger gamble.
So, the equivalent of laying a bet on the stock exchange is buying shares in
a listed company.
