Subject: partner's visa after divorce - uk Posted on: Wed, 24 Jan 2007 13:04:55 +0000 (UTC)

I am a student in the UK and my partner received visa on this basis (as
a 'student dependant'). We are now in the process of separation and
consider a divorce. Both of us have only 9 months left on our visas.
Does anyone know if I submit petition to divorce, will this affect my
partner's status immediately? Will the Home Office be notified on the
divorce automatically, or are we supposed to inform it?
