Subject: US citizen marrying UK citizen living in ireland Posted on: Tue, 30 Jan 2007 02:15:57 +0000 (UTC)

I am a citizen of the USA who may be marrying a woman who is a UK
citizen. but resides in Ireland. What are the implications for me,
trying to become a citizen for the purpose of work in Ireland. I am a
structural engineer. I'm not sure if I can become an Irish citizen
since she is UK citizen, or even if I can become a UK citizen, since
she isn't living in the UK. The citizenship isn't that important to
me, so long as I can work, and be with my lady ;)
