What state? The 50 states have 50 different regulations.
From our experience most DMV offices don't have a clue about K-1 visas.
Check the DMV web site for your state. We did not even try for a
license until after AOS. We were lucky that my wife didn't really need
a driver's license.
Also, you state the passport is stamped Jan 15? That is tomorrow,
unless you mean 2007.
Others here have asked for a supervisor at the DMV and gotten a license
with a K-1 visa. Others have run into a stone wall and could get
nothing.
