Thanks. I actually looked at the US embassy in Paris website and saw
that I am eligible from DCF in Paris.

Yep, I've been a good USC abroad and I've filed my taxes every year. I
don't know how I actually prove this. I do have my printouts and most
of the receipts of receival of my tax returns (although I didn't
receive it one year).

Oh my, this sounds bad. We aren't actually going to move to the states
unless someone offers my husband a job. In fact, we may not move to
the States at all. I was planning on looking for a job once he had an
offer, but not before then. Should I go to an immigration counselor?
Where do I find one near Cannes/Nice? Should I call the consulate in
Nice and ask them?
