Stress taking toll on campus
Stressed out university students across the country are reporting
mental health worries more often as academic and financial pressures
mount.
Debbie Bruckner, University of Calgary's wellness centre director,
said the school has noticed a spike in stress-related concerns from
students, although the overall number of people accessing health and
wellness services hasn't increased.
"I think it's about the complexity of life that students lead,"
Bruckner said. "There really is more competition. They are juggling
more things in their lives. There are not that many students who just
go to school."
