my husband is Moroccan, living in Morocco. I was living with him until August
2007 -- I left Morocco for health and safety reasons with our 7-month old son.
I found a job in November of 2007 earning twice the poverty level to be a
sole sponsor (all forms have been submitted directly to the US Consulate in
Casablanca, Morocco), but because I've been living abroad for the past 4
years, my tax returns are too low, and the consulate will not accept the
documenation of my current income nor the proof that my husband already has
health insurance coverage through my employer. We've been told we need a join
sponsor, or to wait and re-send another I-864 in Feb 2009 to officially prove
my current income. My parents are on a fixed income, we have no one else to
ask to do this -- is anyone willing to be a joint -sponsor to help reunite
our family? (our son is now over 15 months old and hasn't seen his father in
almost 9 months). The poverty limit that I need to exceed to show that I can
be the sole sponsor of my husband (for a family of 3) is just under $22,000 -
my annual salary is $40,000. So for us, the joint sponsor is just a formality
(prior to this year, I worked abroad but have had this job in the U.S. for
