Quite frankly, nobody with a little bit of common sense would ever sponsor a
stranger. What would prevent your husband from turning into a bum once he is
here? Or what would prevent you from quitting your job? Or being laid off? With
sponsoring relatives, there is enough social pressure to make these things
rather unlikely. With strangers, there is no such social pressure. And assuring
people that it won't happen is a worthless assurance. Words are cheap...
