I disagree. The TN is specifically NOT dual-intent and is usually
canceled at a border crossing when the agent finds out the TN has
married a USC and intends to immigrate (file AOS).

OP: I would quiz the company lawyer about the extension and tell him
your personal lawyer's objection. Maybe when the two of them are put
together, they can make a plan for you.
