Install a mail filter which identifies spam before its payload is downloaded
to your computer. If any 'dodgy' images are indavertently downloaded,
delete them, preferably with an eraser program and forget about it. I can't
see that the police are going to target the presumably hundreds of thousands
of email addresses on these spam lists, as they must know that the vast
majority of them are going to delete the email and leave it at that. Surely
they are going to wait for the CP enthusiast to take some positive action to
acquire images before acting. Otherwise they are going to waste a lot of
money and time bashing down the doors of completely innocent people. Even
if the police don't have much - or any! - moral scuples about .ing up the
lives of the innocent the ones with brains in senior management positions do
recognise the corrosive effect on public trust that too many . ups cause.
