Fair point about me. I am not professing any specialist knowledge or
research.
Despite that, at the first google, I came across research that was
contrary to the 1 in 12 allegation. This is the statistic I do not
believe.
I know there are people who do not have bank accounts, however, I
cannot see any reasons why they do not just get one. Do banks actually
refuse people when they apply? Or is it just some people have to be
dragged screaming to new ways of handling finance.
Personally, I do all my banking online, pay all my bills by direct
debit, pay all non regular bills by BACS, and also pay all my MIL bills
for her. Of course this is my choice to enjoy direct debit discounts,
no travelling to banks, easy manipulation of money, to move around
depending on interest rates. Of course all of the above designed to
save money and time.
Answer one question though,Why would anyone choose to pay more for
their bills, when all they need to do is open a bank account?
