A problem which I have experienced on a number of occasions and appears to
afflict supermarkets right across the board is the 'buy one get one free'
offer, when after checking the receipt I've found that I have been billed
for two individual items, any complaints are usually met with 'I'm sorry
about that sir, it appears that the information hasn't been entered into our
computer'.
I now very politely point out to the cashier any items which are on
'special' and they are usually very helpful in checking to make sure that
they have been correctly repriced.
