I notice with my bus pass that most drivers barely glance at the card,
let alone compare the photo with the passenger, but one or two are
especially rigorous and even call people back if they have just
flashed their card briefly. If and when the ID card becomes
commonplace, some coppers will take it upon themselves to make certain
people's lives a misery - because they can.
