Doubters should try the North Circular Road on a wet Friday night in
the rush hour.

Overtakers, undertakers, tailgaters, everyone wanting to go faster
than you, signs painted on the road,e.g at junctions, are invisible.
Road signs by the hundred. Lights all over the place.

Oh, and the speed limit changes every couple of miles.
