Always press the 9. Speak to their operator. It won't cost you, it's their
call.
Keep them talking as long as you can, the longer you talk, the less they are
going to appreciate it when you finally shout, very loudly, "Now stop
wasting my time".
If the person at the other end asks, "would you like one of our
representative to call round to discuss your options?" always agree and as
soon as the person arrives on your doorstep, first get his card then invite
him and his company to forever more stop wasting your time. They really
don't like that.
