Pressing '9' merely confirms that there is a human being on the end of the
phone and the call is immediately transfered to another human being (the
original voice being a machine). They then try to charge you a £250
delivery charge for some sumptuous sounding prize that turns out to be worth
less than £50 (or whatever other scam they have going).
If the call originates from abroad, the TPS has no jurisdiction and offers
no protection. Calls from abroad rarely leave a number with 1471.
