I know there is a common misunderstanding of the terms but in this case the
freeholder is writing to the lessee's mortgagees for debt recovery. The
lessee is the mortgagor - the problem arises if the lessee has not mortgaged
his property then there is nobody sensible, with a vested interest, for the
freeholder to deal with.
