whilst it would be lovely to think this, sadly, I can't believe it.
I'm sure a rough demographic survey would show that people who use
cannabis cover all socio-economic classes, and - most importantly -
probably cancel each other out when their voting habits are analysed.
That said, there is a socio-economic connection with *tobacco*
consumption (working class, poorer income citizens) which made it all
the more interesting that nuLab steamrollered the anti-smoking laws
through. However, years of observation have led me to believe that
Labour voters are much less fickle than Tory voters.

If any progress is to be made with regard to cannabis liberalisation,
then I can't see a direct political approach working. There just isn't
the base to work from. The only practical way would be a salami-
tactic. Start with medical users. Then simple possession, then
cultivating for personal use.

I don't think we'll ever see cannabis sold on the street in my
lifetime. But then in 1988 I never though the Berlin Wall would fall.
