Subject: Photo I.D. On Local Ferries Now Posted on: Sun, 04 May 2008 18:02:46 +0100

I saw this story in The Sunday Herald but it doesn't appear on their
website so here is what it's about

Grangemouth RFC were to get a Northlink Ferry from Scrabster
(Caithness) to Stromness (Orkney) yesterday to play in The Orkney 7's
. When they all went to get their tickets for the ferry they were
told that they needed Photo I.D. and that this rule had come in 2 days
previously . Three of the players got left behind as the Company
would not relent, saying it had been introduced with "significant
publicity" ...... Not in Grangemouth,I'd guess.

WTF do ferry passengers need Photo I.D. to take a ferry to one of the
islands,or anywhere for that matter .

This is utter madness .
