While true, for the bulk of people it helps. For what it's worth (and
small samples aren't really much use) I stick to the limits and have
enjoyed no accidents that were my fault for twenty years. I've been hit
up the arse while stationary three times in those years, twice at STOP
lines, once on a roundabout.
