TV Licence and "On-demand" services Posted on: Tue, 6 May 2008 21:37:40 +0000 (UTC)

Yet another TV Licence post, I'm afraid, but I'm not sure if this
particular variation has been discussed.

Virgin Media, and no doubt others, provide "Catch-up TV on Demand" and
"Movies on Demand" services. If I were to use only these services, and
not watch any of the broadcast TV channels directly, would I require a
TV Licence?

I don't really see why I would, but perhaps it could be argued that
using the menus even to get to the services constitute broadcast TV,
but that seems a bit of a stretch to me.

Regards,
Arfur
