I believe you will find that they do not offer these services seperately
from the live broadcast explicitly to get around this issue - the service
they provide requires a license - period. In a similar way I believe it is
not possible to subscribe to a satalite or cable service within the UK which
doesn't include the normal broadcast channels as part of the basic package,
so there is no question that you have to have a license. Whether you ever
view them or not is immaterial, although it could be argued that as the
system's EPG obtains information from all the channels so your SYSTEM is
accessing the channels even if you don't watch them.
Stop wriggling and buy a license!
