This type of thing has been going on between different types of
employers. A kind of gentlemans agreement that one boss will notify
the other if a certain person has been fired or that a certain person
has applied for a job. A person working for company A has an interview
with company B. Company B informs company A that said guy has applied
for a job and been interviewed.
