If that happened, then I would have no doubt that the governement would
widen the scope of the TV licence. Just as it did when the licencing people
lost the battle over cable TVs in 1984, and then lost the battle over
satellite TV a couple of years later. In both cases the law was changed
pretty quickly afterwards to bring the receivers into scope.
