It is absolutely 100% clear that the visitor in this example would be
committing a criminal offence in this country if he has . with his
girlfriend over here - indeed, it is an offence that Sue, in another
thread, has been arguing should invariably result in a jail sentence.
But it would appear on the face of it that if this was a young lad with
British nationality but living abroad, then he has committed what in the
UK is a criminal offence by sleeping with his girlfriend, even though it
is not an offence in his adopted home country, and he *would* be open to
prosecution the minute he entered this country.
