Bloke minding his own business may or may not have dropped an apple
core.
Hardly crime of the century but.........
Uniformed kid hardly old enough to shave but puffed up with his own
importance screeches up on his bike and gives the old chap an earful.
Bloke takes offence at the impertinent attitude of the plastic bobby
and tells him where to get off then leaves the scene.
Outraged at the lack of respect that he feels is due to his cap badge,
the kid calls for reinforcements.
Real cop who has probably been told to give the plastic cop his full
support weighs in when the bloke returns.
Feeling backed into a corner and outraged at being treated like a
mugger the bloke digs his heels in.
Escalation follows and much police time is wasted, public expense
probably will follow and a many more, usually law abiding people who
know the chap will now be anti-police.
Have the Police really totally given up on Public Relations?
