This change to the law allows you to be prosecuted in the UK for an
act which was perfectly legal i the country where you did it, if it is
an act which would have been an offence if carried out in this
country.

But only for .ual offences carried out against a child.

No, it allows prosecution in country A for certain acts carried out in
country B legally (so far as country B is concerned) but which would
have been illegal to do in country A.
