Its not uncommon for hardwod to rot , some hardwoods are actually far
softer and less resilient than some softwoods

if its luan or maranti(generally the two most common because they used
to be realitively cheap) then it needs regular treatment

Iroko , kerowin , teak , elm , oak far outlast these timbers externally


Anyway back to your problem , if you bought the conservatory off AJW
then they are responsible for the repair works , the proviso being that
you paid them the whole price , if you paid the subcontractor
seperatly then you may have a problem getting the remedial works done
