I'm of the opinion that nobody would have minded if he'd used his
angle-grinder on the clampers or on a speed camera. But reading your link,
he apparently "invited them to take the rear half away as that was the part
infringing the law". He can't seem to make up his mind just how much of his
car was obstructing the pavement. I'd be interested to see the clampers'
photos of the original state of affairs.
Maybe he's an inconsiderate prick who obstructs half the pavement with his
untaxed cars, kicks off every time someone complains, and finally got what
he deserved. I'd like to see him try to re-build the car if he thinks the
bumper, rear wheel and halfway point are all in the same place.
