Reading this thread fills me with great sadness.
It makes me ashamed to be living in England, knowing that the English
people have sold their soul to the EU and to a nonsensical PC self-
flagellation, self-debasement mentality.
Yes, obviously, the above poster was correct in stating that a
significant proportion of Muslims are backward, stuck at the stage
where Christians were several centuries ago, and those Muslims
urgently need to GROW UP ! !
Other factors are at work.
That man who killed his daughter was motivated largely by FEAR, and
his sons who joined in the killing were also motivated primarily by
FEAR.
Perhaps this is not so much about religion, as about some people in
this world being a bunch of useless stupid shithead imbeciles who
refuse to tell their brain-dead religious leaders to . off back to
hell where they came from, and then establish their own personal
relationship with God on a basis of honesty and decency, independent
of exploitative, power-mad priestcraft.

STANDARD RESPONSE TO ISLAMIC PROPAGANDISTS
If you want to shut them up, give them the following and you will
encounter a deafening silence from the Muslims

Extract from *MANKIND IN AMNESIA* by Immanuel Velikovsky, pages
105-106:
THE SEVENTH CENTURY AND THE DARK AGES
In the seventh century - The Dark Middle Age in Europe - the embers
of
long-extinguished fires suddenly blew hot in Arabia. An illiterate
camel driver, who till then had worshipped the planet Venus 10, felt
in himself the spirit of the Lord's messenger, and his orations - the
suras of the Koran - already in the next generation were carried by
the sword of conquest to Morocco and to India. Of ancient times
Mohammed (570?-632) knew only what he heard at random at the gates of
the rabbinical schools of Medina, and this was confused in his mind -
Miriam, sister of Moses, was for him the same as Mary, mother of
Jesus
11, and Jesus the same as Joshua, son of Nun, who carried on the
conquest of Canaan. Hanam, the Persian vizier, became a vizier of the
Pharaoh of the Exodus. 12 But his message was of mountains moving and
of nature revolting, and of life extinguishing for unbelievers when
moral laws are broken down:
"They [the unbelievers] think the Day of Judgement is far off; but We
see it near at hand.
Are they waiting for the Hour of Doom to overtake them unawares? Its
portents have already come.
The Hour of Doom is drawing near.
On that day the heaven will shake and reel, and the mountains crumble
and cease to be... On that day the earth will be rent asunder and
they
shall rush from it in haste.
Wait for the day when the sky will pour down blinding smoke,
enveloping all men: a dreadful scourge.
When earth and all its mountains is raised high and with one mighty
crash is scattered in the dust - on that day the Dread Event will
come
to pass. Frail and tottering the sky will be rent asunder...
When the sun ceases to shine; when the stars fall down and mountains
are blown away... when the seas are set alight... and the heaven is
stripped bare.... 13 "
The change in the places of the stars, moving away together with the
firmament, the disturbances in the Sun, the change in the geological
structure of the Earth, the boiling and disappearance of the sea -
all
are images of the past.

Muslim extremists say "death to those who criticise Islam!"
But why?
If Islam is the true religion, then Muslims only have to state their
case, and if they can prove they are right, we all will have to agree
with them.
But then if, instead of arguing their case in a free and rational
debate, they say only "death to those who criticise Islam" - that can
only be because they know their beliefs will not stand up to honest
scrutiny.
I have quoted directly from Velikovsky above, in which he pointed out
apparent inconsistencies in the Koran, showing a lack of knowledge on
the part of Mohammed.
This is not my fight, and I am not trying to prove anything.
However, Christians are happy to acknowledge strange contradictions
in
the alleged utterances of Jesus.
I invite Muslim readers to address the above statements by Velikovsky
(first paragraph) alleging lack of knowledge on the part of Mohammed.
And if all you can say is that you are going to kill me for quoting
the above, well then you are declaring yourselves to be
intellectually
bankrupt and that Islam cannot stand up to honest scrutiny.
How about an honest debate on this, then?
Read the parts of the Koran mentioned by Velikovsky above (first
paragraph), and evaluate them honestly, without screaming that you
are
going to kill anyone who evaluates the Koran honestly, which would
only mean that you know your religion is false and so you must issue
death threats to shield Islam from honest scrutiny!

IRISH CATHOLICS AND MUSLIMS - the connection
---------------------------------------------------------------------------=
=AD-------
Irish Catholics (Irish born) over the age of 55 can identify with the
horrendously cruel religious abuse being suffered by Muslims today.
The symbols and the fake doctrines are slightly different, but the
emotional damage is much the same in the cases of Ireland in the
1950s
and Muslim communities today.
Even the symbols are part of the same continuum in both Catholicism
and Islam.
In particular, if you look at the Crescent displayed above Mosques,
and then walk into a Roman Catholic church and look at the statue of
Mary, you will see the very same symbol - the Crescent - sticking out
from Mary's ankles..... or sometimes under her feet......

http://www.salemthesoldier.us/crescent_moon.jpg
(Image links are sometimes unreliable. Search internet for
comparisons
between statues of Mary and the Muslim crescent.)
The Crescent is "The Horns of Ishtar" - and the Crescent above the
mosque and the Crescent under Mary's feet are one and the same:- a
representation of a vague and fading memory of one feature of the
terrifying apparitions that appeared in the sky 3,400 years ago....
=2E.... giving rise to the three major world religions.....
Symbols aside, the victims of Irish Catholicism in the 1950s, and the
victims of Islam today, need to get together and to help one another
to recover from religious abuse.
Irish Catholics over the age of 55 can make a valuable contribution
to
helping Muslims to recover from what their parents and teachers have
done to them, just as Irish Catholics have picked up the pieces, and
have forgiven their mothers and fathers and teachers for the
viciously
cruel religious abuse they visited upon us, and then we have moved on
and lived our lives as best we could in the shadow of that early
religious abuse.
Let's get together on this. If you grew up in Ireland in the 1950s,
then you experienced almost exactly the same religious abuse that
Muslims are suffering today.
Let all Muslims turn to Irish-born people over the age of 55 years
for
advice on coping with the emotional legacy of religious abuse.
