Police dog bites the wrong man. Posted on: Thu, 15 May 2008 11:00:49 +0100

A man who escaped uninjured after an attempted shooting in
Nottinghamshire was later bitten by a police dog who mistook him for
the attacker.

Have a look at

I wonder if the police are guilty of an offence of failing to keep
their dog under proper control. Princess Anne was done for that.

Are the police vicariously liable for the actions of their dog as I
doubt if it was technically an employee.
