Bearing in mind that marriage records are public records and anyone
can get an extract of any entry in the register *for a fee* the only
objection the Crown would have is that they are being denied the
statutory fee.
Some vicars/ministers/priests/ get quite uppity about photography of
services in their churches in general as they seem to think it
detracts from the sanctity of the occasion. It may well have done in
the days when bright flash was necessary but with modern equipment
this is not now the case.
