Same applies to many crimes, from 'happy slapping' to terrorism.

How about this recent case:

Woman Charged With Child . After Photos Developed

Police Say Photos Show Child Woman Was Caring For

WMUR, New Hampshire, USA: 14 May 2008
http://www.wmur.com/news/16266160/detail.html

A woman was arrested after photos of a child apparently posing .
were developed at a Manchester photo shop.

Gregoria Tzoy-Morente, 44, was charged with eight counts of child
.ography after a clerk at Walgreens developed photos on a memory
card she brought in. Police said eight of the pictures looked
suspicious and showed a 4-year-old boy posing ..

Through an interpreter, Tzoy-Morente, a Guatemalan native, said she
didn't think she did anything wrong.

"I didn't do it as a bad thing," she said. "I was doing it as a game.
He was taking a bath, and when he took his clothes off, I took
pictures."

Police described the photos as graphic and lewd.

"Among the photos of various family members was a young boy posing
. in .ually suggestive positions," Sgt. Maureen Tessier said.

According to Walgreens policy, the store processes such pictures and
returns them to the individual who brought them in, but copies are
also made and provided to police.

The 4-year-old's father said he saw the pictures. He said that while
he thinks Tzoy-Morente made a bad decision, he doesn't believe she
meant any harm. He also disputed that the photos were explicit.

Police said Tzoy-Morente lives with the boy's father and often takes
care of the child, but this was the first time she did it alone. The
boy is only at their house on weekends.

"We were concerned and started an investigation and found he was safe
and unharmed in his mother's home," Tessier said.

Tzoy-Morente was held on $40,000 bail, and she was ordered to not have
any contact with the boy or anyone under 18 years old.
