Hello

Does anybody know the legalities of Debt Sale ?

I understand the Data Protection Act has provisions for sharing data
in order to collect debt.

But how on earth can one company transfer a contractual relationship
with me to another company without my consent?

If that is possible then can I also transfer my contractual
obligations to another person?

We could create a new kind of industry - professional debt dodgers who
accept 20% of the value of the debt and then try and dodge paying the
original debt ... LOL
