original plea for tolerance and an end to legal persecution. It has
become a demand for approval, the glorification of a lifestyle which
is, by definition, childless. This week, David Cameron and Gordon
Brown both appeared on Gay Pride platforms to show their support. It
is interesting that there is no organisation called Mother's Pride to
which politicians feel that they must defer: Mother's Pride is just a
