I was discussing this with my sister and other 'country folk' a few weeks
ago. It seems the best way is burying in a plastic bag about 3 feet down.
There was no mention of any legal requirement. I personally do not see any
reason for a legal requirement. If there is not the burying option, maybe
contact your local council for disposal.
The reason for the plastic bag is to stop any smell and therefore other
animals, eg. foxes, digging it up. Foxes are around in towns and cities as
well as in the country.
