Subject: Scientific grants for H1B in GC processing people.

Hi,

I have a question. I'm on H1B and applying for the Labor Certification
toward GC. I work in a biotech company. Recently I learned that there is
a possibility to apply for a scientific grant from the company name. My
question is - in case we'll do it (apply for the money for research)
will my employer be able to compensate my participation in the research
with some extra salary? Or will it require some additional petition(s)?

Also, I've been waiting for the decision on LC for almost 10 month. Is
it normal or doe it take too long?
