I also think you should include a copy of your husband's picture page
from his passport H-1 visa stamp and I-94 (if he is in the US when you
apply) form from his passport to make things go better. Processing time
depends in which country you are applying. In Japan it usually take
only a week or so. Check the Embassy/Consulate office, they may have a
"current processing time" information, or even on their web site.
