I am American and my wife is Canadian and she got a green card after
we married ten years ago. We are living in Kenya and returning to the
US this summer. At that time, we=92ll have been outside the country for
one and a half years. When we left, we didn=92t realize that if you
leave the country for more than a year, when you try to re-enter, the
immigration officer might revoke your green card because they presume
you have abandoned your residency. We still own a house in the US
that we=92ve been renting out. We have three children. What are the
chances that when we show up at the border, her green card will be
revoked? |
