In some consulates they don't let you check your cell phone at the
front desk (like in Guadalajara). That's why I need to know if there
is a place across the street where I can pay to keep my cell phone for
a few hours. They had that kind of "service" in Guadalajara, people
who live across the consulate run this little improvised business and
even though it's improvised it's reliable (what else can you do when
the consulate won't help you in that regard and you don't have a car
in that city to keep your belongings?).
When I said "independent companies" I was referring to those people
who help other people from other countries (such as India) to enter
Mexico to get their H1B stamped at Matamoros (or other border towns).
From what I read they do a pretty good job, they drive them across the
border, help them with the Banamex payment, KEEP THEIR CELL PHONES
while they are insided the consulate, and obviously help them
communicate in Mexico (if needed) since Indian people usually don't
speak Spanish. So they seem to do a pretty good job and seem reliable,
BUT, like I said, I am Mexican and I don't need anybody to show me how
to go to Mexico. All I need is a safe place to keep my cell phone
while I am at the consule. ANYBODY KNOWS IF THIS IS POSSIBLE AT THE
CONSULATE IN MATAMOROS? I will really appreciate your responses.
