After 5 years of being a Permanent Resident, or after 3 years of being a
Permanent Resident, *provided* that you are married to a US citizen for the 3
years *and* that the spouse was a US citizen *for the 3 years.*
So, in your case the 5 year-rule kicks in earlier.
