Hi,
I am a permanent resident in the US who is planning on applying for
naturalization. The N400 form asks the following questions:
17. Have you ever been charged with committing any crime or offense ?
18. Have you ever been convicted of a crime or offense?
19. Have you ever been placed in an alternative sentencing or a
rehabilitative program.
( for example: diversion, deferred prosecution, whithheld
adjustication, deferred adjudication )
21 Have you ever been in jail or prison ?
================
About 2 years ago, I had some argument with my wife, and she called
911. Police arrested me and charged me with family violence. I stayed
in jail ( prison?) for 12 hours before I was bailed out. And I had to
hire a lawyer to deal with it. Judger ordered me to take a 16-weeks
anger managerment progam. In the end, I was fined $200, and the case
was closed.
So for such case, how I suppose to answer the above questions. Could
my case be denied because of that ?
Thanks a lot for any tips !
